Behind each advanced Bihoku
product is a company-wide philosophy that makes quality our
foremost corporate responsibility. Our strenuous efforts
assure superior quality at every phase of our operations,
from mining and ore selection to product delivery and after-sales
service. In the manufacturing process, we carefully monitor
particle diameter, whiteness, purity level, roughness, and
other properties. We accept no compromises.
In fact, at Bihoku quality begins right at the product development stage, where
extensive testing and rigorous analysis of prototypes helps us build quality
into every product we create. |

Ultra-fine calcium carbonate is the core of all
Bihoku products. Our SOFTON products are completely free of
large particles, thanks to our advanced facility management
and precise quality control. In terms of reliable, uniform
quality and supply capacity, Bihoku is simply unmatched. Many
of our current products boast an average particle diameter
of less than 1 micron. Our high-quality products see wide use
in the rubber, plastics, paints and sealing materials fields.
Our BF products are similar to SOFTON in particle size uniformity, purity, and
whiteness. These products have seen steadily rising demand since they first reached
the market. |
Our slurry-state calcium carbonate is produced
using the most advanced wet-type grinding technologies from
Switzerland. This product has a high solid content and thus
can be used for high-solid coatings, and it can reduce costs
when used as a filler material in neutral paper making.
Bihoku is also conducting joint research with Pluess-Staufer AG (OMYA) of Switzerland,
a world leader in this field of technology. These activities include high-level
applied research and user services at a Swiss central research laboratory. |
| Based on SOFTON, our LIGHTON calcium carbonate
products are produced using our own proprietary surface treatment
that eliminates problems common with other fine-particle products.
These advanced products are designed to enhance the performance
of compounds. Processing chemicals typically used today in
compounded products include fatty acids, resin acids, surface-active
agents and coupling agents. These chemicals are used alone
or in combination depending on the application material - rubber,
plastics, paints, sealing materials or other - to improve affinity
and dispersion, thus enhancing the properties of the compounded
products. LIGHTON products meet a wide variety of needs and
are now considered an essential functional inorganic pigment. |
Our µ-POWDER3N natural calcium carbonate product
boasts ultra-fine particles with a BET specific surface area
of approximately 11 m2/g. It is produced using the industry's
most advanced and precise wet-type grinding system.
Our µ-POWDER3S is a new type of calcium bicarbonate created by applying a fatty
acid treatment, using Bihoku's original technology, to a base of µ-POWDER3N.
It offers a better performance than colloidal calcium carbonate. |

These calcium carbonate products are made
from select ore obtained from high-purity mines and ground into fine
particles using the most advanced grinding techniques. Their quality
is unsurpassed. Purity is 98.5% or higher and whiteness is 96% or
higher, and they are tasteless, odorless, and non-toxic.
When used in pharmaceuticals, Bihoku's calcium carbonate offers an excellent
antacid effect. In food additives they serve as a calcium supplement. Our top-quality
calcium carbonate products are also attracting keen attention from the high-tech
field. |
